The Navy Sucks big time!!! Haiz... why did they post me, a non-swimmer, to the navy??? There, u need to be a CAT 1 swimmer to remain in the navy, otherwise they will send u back to army after 6 months of vocational training... CAT 1 means swimming 50m in coveralls, treading water for 5 mins, taking off ur coveralls in the water and making a float... Last plus not least is the finale, a 3m jump into the water... Wa Kao, totally impossible lor... I've alady requested for OOT, hopefully they send me back to the army asap...
The navy is real stupid lor, every morning have to fall in for mass 5BX, then change to uniform for flag raising... Every nite got area inspection at 8pm, but usually this happens at ard 10pm instead, then got row call at 2330 to take attendance, haiz... liddat sleep onli 5 hrs every day lei, how to survive? I've had enuf of all these shit, i shld enjoy the privileges of being a private, the sort of respect and freedom that can have in the Army but not the navy.... there u are considered even lower ranked than the navy BMT recruits... Haiz...
I feel very terrible rite now, even worst than i felt during BMT... I feel my life is such a mess, everything's gone haywire... Worst still, i have to book in tonite back to the ulu ulu CNTB which is like so deep inside, far far away from the main road, i heard its 12km...
A very troubled navy Private Tan signing off... hoping for a better NS life, hoping for greener pastures elsewhere...

POP lor!!! Haha... it feels really great to finally graduate from BMT, will know my posting by tmrl, from then on it will be 1 yr and 9 mths to ORD... LOL... Hopefully the SAF gives me a chance to drive their 5 tonners... :)
Been thinking thru wad i wanna study for U oso, I'll most probably go for NTU's mechanical engineering course, with specialisation in aeronautical engineering... Hopefully can get a job with the RSAF after i graduate... Considered taking business as well, bcos it is gonna provide me with a wider variety of job choices in the working society, but i dunno whether it's my cup of tea...
Now an analysis of the Australian Grand Prix from me, the F1 expert, after watching the tape of the race...
Renault have proven to be extremely competitive, their cars seem to generate much lesser tyre grinding than other teams, therefore it gives Renault an added advantage during the later stages of the race, where they still have tyre grip left to push, while other cars were all sliding ard... In particular Fernando Alonso, he started in the middle of the grid and had to use alot of tyres overtaking the cars in front, but at the end of the race he still had enough tyres left to fight for 2nd place with Rubens Barrichello...
Ferrari seems to be struggling abit, their car not as dominant as before... Their sluggish performance in Melbourne might push them to introduce their 2005 car earlier, instead of sticking with the largely incompetitive F2004-M...
Red Bull was really the surprise package of the Australian Grand Prix, their cars proved to be fast and reliable... With an experienced head in David Coulthard, Red Bull are likely to improve further...
Williams and McLaren were hugely disappointing, with totally incompetitive cars that seem to eat up the tyres very quickly... The cars had practically no tyre grip left at the end of the race...
Race results for the Australian Grand Prix:1st: Giancarlo Fisichella (Renault)2nd: Rubens Barrichello (Ferrari)3rd: Fernando Alonso (Renault)4th: David Coulthard (Red Bull)5th: Mark Webber (Williams)6th: Juan Pablo Montoya (McLaren)7th: Christian Klien (Red Bull)8th: Kimi Raikkonen (McLaren)Looking forward to the next race, the Malaysian Grand Prix, i expect Renault to build on their success with another race victory... Michael Schumacher shld be able to benefit from a new engine for this race as he did not take the chequered flag for the previous one, i expect Michael to at least get a podium finish...
Predictions for the Malaysian Grand Prix:1st: Fernando Alonso (Renault)2nd: Michael Schumacher (Ferrari)3rd: Giancarlo Fisichella (Renault)Private Tan signing off... enjoying my 1.5 days of block leave....

I got B C C plus C5 for my A levels... I am both disappointed and relieved at my results... Disappointed bcos i was expecting at least a BBB, but relieved that my scores can take me to U... Many of my classmates didn't do well, they would find it hard to get a course in U with their scores, dunno wad they will do if cannot make it... At least all members of the Senghou Gang made it... JK did us proud with a AAAB, Alvin got ABB, KL & KKK & TYS & me all got BCC... lol...
Dunno wad course i'm gonna take... its seems that me, kl and kkk are all considering taking mechanical engineering, perhaps we shld all take that and remain together rite? JK will most likely be going for better courses obviously, with his AAA score, he gets to choose the courses, not vice versa like us... It seems SR did very badly for this A level exam, think less than half the cohort will make it to the U... i estimate onli ard 40% of us can get any course in the Universities...
Perhaps we shld juz shift the subject back to F1... A new season begins todae, with the first qualifying round happening at 10am... The new season consist of 19 races, the most in F1 history, with the inclusion of the Turkish Grand Prix... Last race of the season will take place in Shanghai, China, on 16 Oct, which also happens to be my birthday... HAHA...
A number of rule changes have taken place, aimed at reducing the speed of the F1 cars, which have been reaching monstrous speeds over the last few years... Some of the changes are:
Race engines now have to last 2 Grand Prix instead of juz 1, and drivers who change engines will be severely penalised like dropping 10 positions or ending up at the back of the starting grid...
Tyres will be limited to 3 sets per race onli... 1 for practice and 1 for both qualifying sessions plus the race itself... the last set is kept in reserve in case the race tyres gets damaged or punctured, for which they will be allowed tyre changes...
2005 cars muz also adhere to car modifications that will decrease downforce by ard 25%, however teams are expected to claw back all of this deficit with their own car evolutions as the season goes...
Think tats all for now ba... going ta book in soon for 16km and 24km road marches next week... help me pray my legs dun rot due to abrasions and blisters...
Recruit Tan signing off... gonna become Private Tan soon...

I'll be receiving my A level results in 2 hrs' time... feeling really jittery, dunno wad kind of results i will get... Perhaps i shld juz tell u more abt the coming 2005 F1 season, with the first race at Melbourne on 6 March... Here are the driver lineups of all 10 teams:
Ferrari: Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello
BAR: Jenson Button, Takuma Sato
Renault: Fernando Alonso, Giancarlo Fisichella
Williams: Mark Webber, Nick Heidfeld
McLaren: Kimi Raikkonen, Juan Pablo Montoya
Sauber: Jacque Villeneuve, Felipe Massa
Red Bull: David Coulthard, Christian Klien
Toyota: Jarno Trulli, Ralf Schumacher
Jordan: Tiago Monteiro, Narain Karthikeyan
Minardi: Christijan Albers, Patrick Friesacher
*Pls note that Minardi has not been confirmed for the 2005 season, due to their inability to comply with the 2005 regulation changes, Minardi's proposal to start the season with their 2004-spec car is subject to approval from the FIA and the respective team principals...
Few points to note, the scintillating partnership of McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen and Juan Pablo Montoya will be one to watch. Both drivers are capable racing at the highest level, and both are championship material. It will be interesting to see if these 2 hotshots can work together and dislodge Michael Schumacher from pole position...
Many thought the bankruptcy of Jaguar and Cosworth have ended an era in F1, but few realised that a re-vamped Jaguar has become Red Bull F1, and has also recruited a potential race-winner in David Coulthard. Cosworth, under a new management, has continued to produce powerful and reliable engines for Red Bull F1, so watch out for the F1 new boys, Red Bull F1...
And of cos, the issue that many have been speculating for weeks, is India's first ever F1 driver, Narain Karthikeyan. The excitment it caused to the Indian community has been immense, but it remains to be seen whether Narain can perform at the highest level, otherwise he may juz be a commercial gimmick used to attract Indian sponsors for the Jordan F1 team...
Tats all for now, I will be off to SRJC soon... Good luck to me!!!
